Ksplice Announces Exclusive Partnership with SingleHop
Rebootless Updates Offer Hosting Industry Improved Security and Availability
Cambridge, Mass.—October 28, 2009—Ksplice, an enterprise software company that makes systems more secure, reliable, and maintainable through seamless updates, today announced an exclusive parternship with SingleHop, the fastest growing dedicated server hosting company.
Ksplice’s first product, Ksplice Uptrack, makes it possible to apply software updates to the Linux operating system without the disruption and downtime of rebooting. Hosting providers and other companies use Ksplice Uptrack to decrease system maintenance costs while improving system security, stability, and availability. Ksplice Uptrack is currently available only through Ksplice’s Early Adopter Program.
Ksplice announced that SingleHop will be Ksplice’s exclusive dedicated server hosting partner until February 2010—making SingleHop the only hosting company able to provide rebootless dedicated systems.
SingleHop is offering the service for free to all customers running Linux who currently subscribe to the web host’s “Kernel & OS Shield” update service and $25.00 per month for all other interested customers.
